What is Adrenocortical Carcinoma?

There are two adrenal glands, one above each kidney in the back of the upper abdomen. Each adrenal gland is composed of two layers : -

• The adrenal cortex, or outer layer of the adrenal gland, which produces a variety of steroid hormones.• The adrenal medulla, or inner layer of the adrenal gland, which produces the hormones epinephrine and norepinephrine.Cancer of the adrenal cortex, also called adrenocortical carcinoma, is discussed below. (Cancer of the adrenal medulla, also called pheochromocytoma, is discussed separately.)

The cells in the adrenal cortex make important hormones that help the body function properly. When cells in the adrenal cortex become cancerous, they may make too much of one or more hormones, which can cause symptoms such as high blood pressure, weakening of the bones, or diabetes. Cancers that make hormones are called functioning tumors. However, many cancers of the adrenal cortex do not make extra hormones and are called nonfunctioning tumors.

A person with the following symptoms should see a doctor: pain in the abdomen, loss of weight without dieting, and weakness. If there is a functioning tumor, there may be symptoms or signs caused by too many hormones, such as high blood pressure, weakening of the bones, or diabetes.

If a patient has symptoms of cancer of the adrenal cortex, the doctor will order blood and urine tests to see whether the amounts of hormones in the body are normal. A doctor may also order a computed tomography scan, a special x-ray that uses a computer to make a picture of the inside of the abdomen. Other special x-rays may also be taken to determine what kind of tumor is present.

The chance of recovery (prognosis) from cancer of the adrenal cortex depends on how far the cancer has spread (the stage of the disease) and on whether a doctor is able to surgically remove all of the cancer.

Stages

Once cancer of the adrenal cortex has been diagnosed, more testing will be done to see how far the cancer has spread-a process called staging.

Treatment options vary depending on the stage of the disease. The following stages are used for cancer of the adrenal cortex: Stage I : -The cancer is less than 5 centimeters (less than 2 inches) wide and has not spread into tissues around the adrenal gland. During this stage, the primary treatment will probably be surgery to remove the cancer.

Stage II : – The cancer is more than 5 centimeters (less than 2 inches) wide and has not spread into tissues around the adrenal gland. During this stage, the primary treatment will probably be surgery to remove the cancer, although clinical trials are now under way to test new treatments for this stage of the disease.

Stage III : -The cancer has spread into tissues around the adrenal gland or has spread to the lymph nodes around the adrenal gland. Lymph nodes are part of the lymphatic system and are small, bean-shaped organs that make and store infection-fighting cells. During this stage, treatments may be one of the following : –

• Surgery to remove the cancer. Lymph nodes in the area may also be removed (lymph node dissection).• A clinical trial involving radiation therapy.• A clinical trial involving chemotherapy if the size of the tumor can be measured with x-rays and/or if the tumor is making hormones.

Stage IV : -The cancer has spread to tissues or organs in the area and to lymph nodes around the adrenal cortex, or the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. During this stage, treatments may be one of the following : – 1. A clinical trial involving chemotherapy.2. Radiation therapy to bones where the cancer has spread.3. Surgery to remove the cancer in places where it has spread.

Recurrent : – The cancer has come back (recurred) after it has been treated. It may come back in the adrenal cortex or in another part of the body. Treatment during this stage depends on many factors, including where the cancer came back and what treatment has already been received. In some cases, surgery can be effective in decreasing the symptoms of the disease by removing some of the tumor. Also, clinical trials are currently testing new treatments for this stage of the disease.

Treatment Options

There are three primary treatment options for patients with cancer of the adrenal cortex : -

1. Surgery2. Chemotherapy3. Radiation therapy

Surgery : – Surgery is local therapy to remove the tumor. Tissues around the tumor and nearby lymph nodes may also be removed during the operation. When treating cancer of the adrenal cortex, a doctor may take out the adrenal gland in an operation called an adrenalectomy. Tissues around the adrenal glands that contain cancer may also be removed. Lymph nodes in the area may be removed as well (lymph node dissection).

Chemotherapy : – Chemotherapy is treatment with drugs that kill cancer cells. Most anticancer drugs are injected into a vein or muscle; some are given by mouth. Chemotherapy is a systemic treatment, meaning that the drugs flow through the bloodstream to nearly every part of the body to kill cancerous cells. It is generally given in cycles; a treatment period is followed by a recovery period, then another treatment period, and so on. Read More.

Radiation Therapy (also called radiotherapy) : – Radiation therapy is treatment with high-energy rays that damage cancer cells and stop them from growing and dividing. It is a local therapy that only affects cancer cells in the treated area. Radiation may come from a machine (external radiation) or from an implant placed directly into or near a tumor (internal radiation). External radiation is typically the method used for cancer of the adrenal cortex. Besides treatment for the cancer itself, a patient with cancer of the adrenal cortex may also receive therapy to prevent or treat symptoms caused by the extra hormones that are made by the cancer. Treatment Side Effects

Side effects can occur with cancer treatments because the treatment often damages healthy cells along with the cancer cells. The type and extent of these side effects vary depending on the particular treatment involved, its duration, and its dose:

Surgery : – The side effects of surgery depend on the location of the tumor and the type of operation, among other factors. Although patients are often uncomfortable during the first few days after surgery, this pain can usually be controlled with medicine. The recovery period after an operation varies from patient to patient.

Chemotherapy : – Chemotherapy drugs generally target rapidly dividing cancer cells. However, other cells that also divide rapidly include blood cells, cells that line the digestive tract, and cells in hair follicles. Unfortunately, these healthy cells may also be affected by the chemotherapy drugs, resulting in side effects such as infections, tiredness, temporary hair loss, and mouth sores. Not all chemotherapy patients develop all of these symptoms, and they usually go away during the recovery period or after treatment stops. Medicines and other treatments are available to control or minimize many of these symptoms.

One of the most important side effects of many chemotherapy drugs is lowering of the blood counts. Because chemotherapy can reduce the function of the bone marrow, where most blood cells are produced, it can cause: • anemia (you may have less energy).• low platelets (you may bruise or bleed easily).• low antibodies (you may be more susceptible to infections).

Radiation Therapy : – The most common side effects of radiation therapy are tiredness, skin reactions in the treated areas (such as a rash or redness), and loss of appetite. Radiation therapy may also cause a decrease in the number of white blood cells that help protect the body against infection. Most of these side effects can be treated or controlled and in most cases they are not permanent.

During cancer treatment, patients may lose their appetite and find it hard to eat well. In addition, the common side effects of treatment (nausea, vomiting, and mouth sores) can make it difficult to eat. To some patients, foods taste different. Others may not feel like eating when they are uncomfortable or tired.

Eating well means getting enough calories and protein to help prevent weight loss and regain strength. Patients who eat well during cancer treatment often feel better and have more energy. In addition, they may be better able to handle the side effects of treatment.

I’ve talked to my mom and she said we could order some personalized livestrong bracelets with a message on it for her. I was thinking and I can’t think of what to write on them, all I know is I want them to say her name somewhere. Any ideas of what to write? It cant be too long.

Bladder CancerWhat is Bladder Cancer?

typically begins in the lining of your bladder,the balloon-shaped organ in your pelvic area that stores urine. Some bladder cancer remains confined to the lining, while others cases may invade other areas.

Most are transitional cell carcinomas (cancer that begins in cells that normally make up the inner lining of the bladder). The cells that form squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma develop in the inner lining of the bladder as a result of chronic irritation and inflammation.

Bladder Cancer Risk factors

Symptoms of Bladder Cancer1. Blood in the urine (urine looks bright red or rusty).2. Pain or burning when urinating.3. Passing urine often.4. Feeling the need to urinate but no urine comes out.5. Difficulty in passing urine.

Diagnosis of Bladder Cancer

To diagnose bladder cancer, the doctor will take a medical history, do a physical examination and request a urine test. He or she may order an x-ray test and perform a cystoscopy (described below) and if needed, a biopsy for bladder cancer. A urine sample is taken and then examined under a microscope for cancerous cells (for bladder cancer).

An x-ray procedure, called an Intravenous pyelogram (IVP), is used to detect any abnormalities or growths in the bladder. For the IVP x-ray, a special dye containing iodine is given to the patient through a needle inserted in the vein. The dye goes in the bladder, making the bladder easier to see on the x-rays.

A Cystoscopy is a procedure using a thin, lighted tube called a cystoscope that is inserted into the bladder through the urethra. If the doctor sees any abnormal areas or growths, he or she will remove some of that tissue (biopsy) for further examination under a microscope.

Treatment of Bladder Cancer in India

There are four main types of treatment for bladder cancer: surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and biological therapy. The type and staging of the cancer, age, and overall health, determine which treatment method(s) will be used.

Surgery There are three (3) main types of surgeries for bladder cancer : -

Transurethral resection (TUR) is an operation that uses a cystoscope inserted into the bladder through the urethra. The doctor then uses a tool with a small wire loop on the end to remove the cancer or to burn the tumor away with high-energy electricity.

Cystectomy is an operation to remove the bladder. There are two types of cystectomy – segmental (partial), and radical (complete). Segmental cystectomy is an operation to take out part of the bladder where the cancer is located. Radical cystectomy is the removal of the bladder and nearby organs. In women, this operation includes removing the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and part of the vagina. In men, the prostate and seminal vesicles are removed.

Urinary diversion is an operation to make way for urine to pass out of the body so that it does not go through the bladder.

Radiation therapy in India

Radiation therapy (also called radiotherapy) may be needed when the cancer cannot be removed with TUR because it involves a larger area of the bladder. X-rays destroy the ability of cancer cells to grow and multiply. Internal radiation therapy, with radioactive material placed in the bladder, may be combined with external radiation, which comes from a machine located outside the body.

Chemotherapy in India

When cancer involves the pelvis or has spread to other parts of the body, the doctor may suggest chemotherapy. Chemotherapy uses drugs to stop the growth of cancer cells. Chemotherapy may be given in different ways – by mouth or injection into a muscle or a vein, or by catheter into the bladder (intravesical chemotherapy).

Depending on the specific drugs, most patients take chemotherapy as an outpatient at the hospital, the doctor’s office or at home. Sometimes, it may be necessary to stay in the hospital for a period of time to monitor the effects of the treatment

Biological therapy in India

Often a form of intravesical chemotherapy, biological therapy uses materials made by the body or made in a laboratory to boost, direct or restore the body’s natural defenses against the cancer.

When several tumors are present in the bladder or when there is a risk that the cancer will recur, TUR may be followed by treatment with drugs. The doctor may put a solution containing the bacteria bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG), a form of biological therapy, directly into the bladder via a catheter (intravesical biological therapy). A microbe is found in every cancer cell. Cancer microbes get into normal cells and their presence turns the normal cells into anaerobic cells (an anaerobic cell does not burn oxygen like a normal cell, rather it ferments glucose to get energy). The definition of an anaerobic cell is a “cancer cell.” A Nobel Prize was given in 1931 (Otto Heinrich Warburg) for the discovery that a cancer cell is anaerobic.

The microbe various, sometimes it is a virus, a fungus, a mould, acid-fast bacteria (which mutated into a fungus) or an amoeba (e.g. trichomonad).

Inside each cell are mitochondria. These mitochondria are where the energy of the cell is created, in the form of a molecule called ATP. The chemical process by which ATP are made start with what is called “The Krebs Cycle” or the “Citric Acid Cycle.” This cycle of chemical reactions leads to the creation of ATP.

But as a spin-off of the Krebs Cycle, the Electron Transport Chain (ETC), creates even more ATP than the Krebs Cycle.

In a cancer cell, the Krebs Cycle is broken. Since the ETC is a spin-off of the Krebs Cycle, it is broken also. The result of breaking the Krebs Cycle is that the energy in the cell (i.e. the number of ATP molecules) drops dramatically.

The human cell is a very sophisticated living thing. When the Krebs Cycle is broken, the cell is generally able to fix the cycle, thus restoring the energy in the cell.

With a cancer cell, the cell is not able to restore its Krebs Cycle. Instead the broken Krebs Cycle and broken ETC are maintained.

So what possibly could maintain the break in the Krebs Cycle and ETC? What could make it impossible for the cell to fix itself month after month and year after year. The microbe, once inside, intercepts the glucose entering the cell (most microbes eat glucose). The microbe excretes “mycotoxins,” dangerous hormones and perhaps a thick slime (mycotoxins are the normal excretions of microbes).

Mycotoxins are very, very acidic, the inside of the cell becomes highly acidic, which is a characteristic of cancer cells (in fact the longer a cell is cancerous, generally the more acidic it becomes). The cell’s mitochondria (which convert glucose into energy) get very little glucose because the microbe has intercepted most of the glucose. What the cell’s mitochondria does get is lots of mycotoxins and other harmful garbage, which it cannot convert into energy,

The mitochondria’s energy level (ATP provides the key energy of a cell, but ATP is created by the Krebs Cycle and ETC) plummets because it is living in a sea of filth, meaning the ATP energy drops. Signals are sent to the insulin receptors and glucose receptors on the cell membranes to grab more glucose.

Glucose enters the cell (about 15 times more), but most of the glucose is intercepted by the microbe (which may be multiplying) and the mitochondria are bathing in an increasingly large sea of mycotoxins, dangerous hormones and possibly slime. Technically, the glucose is normally converted into pyruvate and it is the pyruvate than enters the mitochondria.

There is a limit to how high the activity of these two types of receptors can become there is no way for the mitochondria (and thus the ATP) to get enough glucose/pyruvate and energy. The cell is now officially cancerous because its energy level drops (the ATP energy levels can be compared to the steps of a ladder) and it is defined to be anaerobic.

In this process, two things happen. First, because of the microbe(s) the break in the Krebs Cycle and ETC are broken as long as the microbe(s) are inside the cell.

Second, each cancer cell is turned into a very healthy microbe(s), living inside a very sick human cell. Because the microbe(s) are healthy, and the cell is sick, it makes it very difficult to kill the microbe without killing the cell.

The medical establishment, and their friends in the media, would like people to believe that DNA damage is what causes cancer. While in rare cases, a person’s normal DNA may provide them an immune system which gives them a predisposition to get cancer, DNA damage has never caused a single case of true cancer. Cancer can only be caused when the Krebs Cycle and Electron Transport Chain are broken inside the mitochondria. DNA damage cannot break the Krebs Cycle and thus cannot cause cancer.

Why would the medical establishment want to mislead the general public about what causes cancer? There are two reasons. First, it gives people the impression that curing cancer is many decades away; and second, it gives people the impression that many more hundreds of billions of dollars are needed for cancer “research.”

It has been known since the 1930s that various microbes are the cause of cancer. Once a certain kind of microbe is able to get inside of a healthy cell, the Krebs Cycle is broken and the process of cancer begins. The person’s immune system may or may not be able to identify and kill the new cancer cells.

Regarding DNA damage, researcher Ron Gdanski has shown, it is the DNA of this microbe, which is inside of cancer cells, that causes the DNA damage to the cancer cells. Thus, the DNA damage of cancer cells is not the cause of cancer, but rather the DNA of the microbe which causes cancer is the cause of the DNA damage in cancer cells.

In fact, the medical establisment has used viruses to get inside of cells with defective DNA in order to fix the DNA. This is called “gene therapy.” Thus, it is well known that the DNA of microbes (called “vectors”) inside of human cells can affect the DNA inside that same cell.

Facts
1) It is a fact that the ATP energy is very low in a cancer cell. In fact several alternative cancer treatments take direct advantage of this fact. Graviola, Paw Paw, Protocel, Cantron, and other alternative cancer treatments, lower the ATP energy of all cells. Non-cancerous cells are not affected by a small drop in ATP energy, but cancer cells literally fall apart when their ATP energy drops. Most types of chemotherapy, by the way, increase ATP energy.

2) Dr. Robert O. Young, PhD has literally watched through a live-blood dark-field microscope, highly agressive molds (i.e. moulds) drill through the cell membrane of normal cells.

3) Several types of cancer, including squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma, are well-known to spread in a very unique way. The way that it is described can only be attributed to a microbe coming out of a cancer cell, traveling through the blood, and entering a normal cell in another part of the body.

4) Several scientists have independently identified a special kind of pleomorphic microbe as being the cause of cancer. Among these was Dr. Royal Rife, who did numerous experiments injecting a cancer virus into healthy mice, thus causing cancer in the mouse.

5) Dr. Royal Rife also developed a machine called “The Rife Machine.” He, and others who used early versions of his machine, cured many cancer patients. His machine was designed to do one thing – kill microbes. It was not designed to kill cancer cells, yet early versions of his machine cured cancer. Electromagnetic machines can kill microbes inside of cancer cells as easily as kill microbes in the blood.

6) Dr. Tamara Lebedewa cut off parts of a tumor and put it in a culture high in nutrition. Within several days she noticed three-tailed amoeba (trichomonads) swimming in the culture. In fact, these may not have been amoeba, but instead a special kind of very large bacteria. In either case, she has shown the presence of a microbe inside of cancer cells.

7) Several types of cancer are well-known to be associated with a microbe. Among those are leukemia (in fact some cases of fungal infection have been misdiagnosed as leukemia), cervical cancer, sqamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and perhaps others. For example, tobacco is very, very high in fungus, and this fungus may be a causal factor in the development in lung cancer.

8) About a dozen known natural substances are known to revert cancer cells into normal cells. The only way this can happen is if the Krebs Cycle and ETC are restored to normal. Thus it is known that the Krebs Cycle and ETC can be restored.

9) Cesium chloride is known to kill cancer cells by accumulating in the cancer cells. Cesium chloride is also known to kill microbes. Thus, when a cancer patient receives enough cesium chloride to easily kill the microbes inside the cancer cells, but not enough to kill the cell, a person would think that the cancer cells would revert to normal. This does not happen because the cesium left in the cell blocks the glucose from entering the cell, thus the cesium itself (and potassium) blocks the Krebs Cycle and ETC. This indicates that the blocking of glucose can lead to lower ATP. It is possible the cesium chloride treatment actually works by lowering the ATP energy.

10) Ron Gdanski has shown how a tear in tissue can lead to cancer. More than 90% of all cancers start in tissue. Ron’s model is that a tear in tissue creates a small pool of blood. This pool of blood becomes infested with microbes, particularly fungus. My grandad got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the throat 3 months ago, he’s finished his treatment of radiation and chemo and now waiting for the results. Before cancer he was a big strong looking man, During his treatment he lost about 2 stone each week as he cant eat orally, just through a tube in his stomach, and now theres nothing to him. i dont want to loose him, or my world will fall apart, im a 14 yr old girl and hes my best friend, so im just wondering is there ANY CHANCE of survival, HOW LONG can this go on for? CAN HE BEAT IT? please be honest…thank you.

Avoid all chlorine and fluoride in your diet. This includes avoiding tap water and foods made with tap water. Chlorine and fluoride destroys many phytonutrients and other nutrients, thus the damage done to the food during processing, if chlorine is used, is permanent and cannot be reversed. This means, for example, not drinking soda pop or any other drinks that have been made by mixing tap water with something else. You should not buy bottled grape juice because during processing, the chlorine in the tap water destroyed many phytonutrients. The damage cannot be reversed.

All vegetables should be organic, if possible. Green vegetables, including juiced grasses and sprouts, must be the foundation of a good cancer diet. The fiber, enzymes, chlorophyll, minerals, and many nutrients are essential for your cancer diet. Juicing vegetables and grasses will help get more nutrients into the body. However, some whole vegetables should be eaten in order to get the fiber. Fiber is critical to a cancer treatment. As with all juices, if you make the juice from the actual foods, the juice should be drunk immediately after they are prepared. In cases where many small doses of a fresh vegetable juice are needed to be taken, the juice can be refrigerated during the day.

You should have organic, fresh salads/vegetables/juiced grasses/sprouts for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many of the other foods that are allowed on this diet should be mixed in with the salad, except for the vegetable juices.

Walnuts have the very critical omega 3. Other nuts should be used very sparingly. Peanuts (which are not really nuts) and cashews both have too much fungus and should not be used at all. By a very wide margin, the best foods in the world are wheatgrass juice, barley grass juice, spirulina and chlorella. Only a small number of vegetables can even come close to these superfoods. However, most people are not going to sprout grass (search the Internet for the phrase: “wheatgrass kits” if you want to do it). Thus, many vendors make a variety of qualities of parsley powder, kale powder, barley powder or powder made from a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, and grasses. Such foods are absolutely required for a cancer treatment.

Legumes, are allowed to be eaten by cancer patients, but only in moderation and only to stabilize the weight of the patient or to provide protein.

Soy products are a highly controversial issue among alternative health experts. Some experts love some soy products, and others hate all soy products. It is up to your own judgment on this issue. All soy products should be avoided except fresh soy sprouts. Soy sprouts have an impressive number of anti-cancer nutrients and are acceptable as part of your salads, if you can make your own soy sprouts.

Whole grains can be used only when a cancer patient is fighting dangerous weight loss. If the weight loss is uncontrolled, they should consider a cachexia treatment plan, based on Hydrazine Sulphate. Yeast, which every cancer patient has throughout their body, converts complex carbohydrates into simple carbohydrates, so even whole grains should be avoided when possible. In any case, avoid commercially stored grains and potatoes. Corn and rice (because of the way they are stored) are grains that should be totally avoided.

The only exception is that if a person is fighting weight loss, some fresh, freshwater fish can be eaten if that is the only thing the cancer patient will eat (e.g. they won’t eat beans or other legumes). Avoid all dairy products, including butter, all cheeses and all malts, except cottage cheese or skim milk when used in the Budwig Diet. One exception is that pregnant and nursing women should eat two eggs per day because the choline is necessary for the baby’s brain development and the baby takes precedence since two eggs a day is not life-threatening to a cancer patient. If a person must have milk, the only acceptable variety is unprocessed goat’s milk, from organically grown and grazing goats.

Far more often though, when cancer strikes, those eating the junk foods are also eating meat. Nations and groups which consume less meat have less cancer. Hospital records show that Seventh-day Adventists, who eat little or no meat, suffer far less from cancer than the average meat-eating American. Dr. Willard J. Visek, research scientist at Cornell University, stated that the high protein diet of Americans is linked to the high incidence of cancer in the U.S. Another cancer physician, who also worked with hundreds of cancer patients, said that anyone who does not eat meat, eats only good food, and does all he can to protect his liver, may never get cancer. Cancer would be almost unheard of if no devitalized food or meats were eaten. Cancer cannot exist where there is a pure bloodstream.

Cancer cells are able to grow by making the amino acids of protein available for their growth at the expense of the body as a whole. Meat, especially red meat, being the most readily assimilable protein, becomes a banquet for cancer cells. Emphasizing the use of plant sources of vegetable protein such as legumes and beans that contain cancer-fighting compounds should be a prominent part of an anti-cancer diet.

Meat does have some nutrients that help prevent and deal with cancer. Meat does have nutrients that are good for your immunity system. Meats have a low glycemic index, which is good. The problem is that meat overall does far more harm that good to your cancer treatment. However, there are situations where eating meat, especially turkey or chicken, is not only acceptable, but advised. For example, if a person has been on a very restrictive liquid diet for two weeks or more, it would be advisable to eat some meat to rebuild the protein in the person’s body. Also, consider a person who weighs very little (i.e. less than 120 pounds) when they begin a cancer diet. A cancer diet typically causes a person to lose weight, but by eating some meat while on the diet, the weight of the person may stabilize before it gets too low.

All man-made sweeteners (e.g. aspartame, NutraSweet, Equal) and fat substitutes should be avoided. These items are most often associated with brain cancer, but everyone should avoid them. You should absolutely avoid eating refined sugar and refined grains and anything else refined. These things not only feed the fungus and yeast in your body, they also feed the cancer cells. The yeast in flour makes things even worse. Do not eat anything where yeast, fungus or mould is used, added or is a part of. Refined sugar and other simple sugars also interfere with your immunity system. These substances also interfere with getting Vitamin C and oxygen into the cancer cells. Sugar also depletes the body of key minerals and other nutrients because of its acidity. It is not the acidity that directly destroys the minerals, the acidity causes the body to use the minerals to regulate the pH level in the body. The same is true of all acidic foods.

The chain reaction caused in the body by acidic foods (due to the body’s attempts to keep the blood at a level pH) is the cause, or a major contributing factor, to almost all chronic diseases, including cancer. It would take an entire book to describe how the body keeps its pH normal, and the ramifications of these processes.

Honey is a case of both the good and the bad. Honey contains simple sugars, the fructose (38 percent) and glucose (31 percent) feed cancer cells. The good news is that honey contains powerful phenolic antioxidants. However, like grape juice, it should be avoided.

The only fruits that are allowed on this diet, without restrictions, are unsweetened lime, unsweetened lemon, and avocados. That is it. Lemons are actually a required part of any cancer treatment because of their beneficial effect on the liver and because they get oxygen into the body. Lemon juice and lime juice should be taken primarily just before bedtime. One exception to this general rule is special fruit “fasts,” such as the Johanna Brandt Grape Cure. When the body gets nothing but a potent fruit mush, it is a potent cancer healing program. Another exception to these general rules are for those on a cesium chloride protocol. They are allowed to eat fruits rich in potassium in order to meet their potassium quota.

There are some mushrooms that are used in cancer treatments, generally as supplements. Realizing that some mushrooms kill cancer cells, but are at the same time primarily a fungus, take heed. Mushrooms are one of the good and bad foods. Use with caution. The good news about mushrooms is that they do contain polysaccharides, which are essential to the immunity system. Mushroom supplements such as beta glucan are certainly acceptable to a cancer diet.

Seaweed is also high in polysaccharides, and anti-cancer properties. It is highly recommended. Brown seaweed has at least 3 nutrients that kill cancer cells; furanone, fuecoiden, and algenic acid.

Refined salt may be a major cause of cancer. Refined salt, the wrong fats, margarine and butter are the main causes of red blood cells sticking together, causing them to absorb less oxygen and making hemoglobin a free meal for yeast and fungus. The clumped together red blood cells do not get as much oxygen into the cells of the body. Also, the clumped together red blood cells cannot pass through the smaller arteries/capillaries, meaning much less (if any) oxygen gets to cells in these areas of the body, and some of these cells may be turned to anaerobic (i.e. cancerous). On the other hand, natural sea salt has a very similar mineral content as human blood. It is truly a health food as long as you don’t eat too much of it. Sea water salts are actually a complex blend of trace minerals, as well as calcium and magnesium salts. This complex blend is essential to life.

Other foods you should absolutely avoid are trans fats, meaning trans fatty acids or partially hydrogenated oils. Trans fatty acids may be one of the major causes of cancer. They become part of the cell’s wall (replacing cholesterol) and make the cell wall rigid or sticky and can make the cell anaerobic (i.e. the first step to becoming cancerous) because large oxygen clusters cannot get into the cells. Like refined salt, these fats also destroy the electrical charge of red blood cells, causing them to “stick” together. When this happens, among other things, the red blood cells do not get to many cancer cells, meaning the cancer cells get far less oxygen (if any), meaning they thrive because they are anaerobic.

Another bad food for cancer patients is polyunsaturated oils. Polyunsaturated oils (e.g. corn oils sold in supermarkets everywhere) promote the growth of small blood vessels (by promoting the production of “bad” prostaglandins). This is bad for cancer because it allows tumors to grow new blood vessels. However, these small blood vessels are good for preventing strokes. Thus, while on a cancer diet avoid polyunsaturated oils.

All herbs and spices are acceptable, except black pepper and other highly acidic spices. Several herbs, such as Sheep Sorrel and Black Walnut, are known to be strong anti-cancer foods. Turmeric, which contains curcumin, is a spice that is a potent anti-cancer food. As with all foods, the storage of herbs can cause them to be high in fungus.

You can forget about eating at a restaurant, big or small, formal or informal, unless it has a menu specifically for organic, raw foods.

Condiments are absolutely forbidden. One of the most acidic foods on earth is black pepper (black pepper is a major cause of acid reflux disease). Avoid soy sauce, pickled vegetables, relish, green olives, sauerkraut, and cucumber pickles.

Basically, any “refined” or processed food that contains sugar, refined salt, aspartame, MSG, trans-fatty acids, coloring, other additives, or refined flour should be avoided. The cooking of food kills critical enzymes needed for digestion.

While it is true that cooking does release some vitamins, by a very wide margin, overall it is better to eat food raw, if it can be safely eaten raw.

Stop smoking (no matter what kind of cancer you have), because smoking puts more than 100 carcinogens in your body. Tobacco is also very high in sugar, fungi and yeasts. Part of this is due to they way tobacco leaves are processed. Alcohol (which is a “primary mycotoxin”), which interferes with all treatment plans. Completely avoid caffeine because it restricts the blood vessels, meaning less oxygen gets to the cancer cells. It is also acid-forming and mucoid-forming.

Peanuts are perhaps the number one food that should be avoided because they are so high in fungus. Foods that have little resistance when they are growing, are frequently high in fungus. Corn, rice (because of the way it is stored) and potatoes, and any foods with corn, rice or potatoes, should be avoided, also because of fungus and the way they are stored. Cashews are another food high in fungus.

Avoid processed apple juice. Avoid oranges, tangerines, and dried fruits, for a variety of reasons. Do not microwave any foods during a cancer diet.

Every cancer patient should drink as much natural water (i.e. natural spring water or natural artesian water, processed with ozone) as they can, up to a gallon a day. Also, a cancer patient should get as much exercise as reasonable. Exercise pumps the lymph system and helps get toxins out of the body. Even if a person can do no more than lift 3 pound weights for 10 minutes while sitting in a chair, it will help.
